Bridges to Recovery recognizes that the mind, body, and spirit are an integrated system, and we provide an innovative range of therapies that honors the relationship between somatic and psychological states. If you are living with a mental illness, this relationship can be particularly fraught with conflict, disorder, and pain. However, empirical research shows us that this interplay can be harnessed to improve your recovery outcome through holistic therapies that engage you emotionally, physically, and spiritually.

Whether you are struggling with debilitating somatic symptoms of anxiety, disconnection from your body after trauma, a disordered relationship with eating, or an inability to adequately attend to your physical needs, we have an array of tools available to help regenerate and reconnect your mind, body, and spirit. Holistic therapies may be vital to your recovery, as you gain increased mindfulness, relaxation, physical invigoration, and the ability to nourish yourself in a healing way.

The compassionate yoga teachers at Bridges to Recovery create a safe, supportive space to explore yogic practice regardless of fitness level or previous experience. Included in your cost of treatment are 2 or more weekly yoga sessions, where you are encouraged to listen to your body, recognize your physical and emotional limits, and work within your comfort level at all times.


Our massage therapists are experienced with a range of psychological and physical conditions, and work with you to address your specific concerns. You will receive one weekly massage included in the cost of treatment, though additional sessions can be arranged.


Our acupuncturists will discuss your situation and any concerns you may have to design a treatment plan that addresses your specific emotional and physical needs. Using their years of experience, they can identify blockages you are experiencing and apply stimulation to the parts of the body related to your symptoms, encouraging neural connectivity and opening up the flow of energy.


Through breathing and visualization techniques, we will guide you toward awareness of your thoughts, feelings, and physical sensations in the present moment. With a maximum of six clients at a time, our meditation group is an intimate space where each member can receive the support they need to practice at a pace that is right for them.

Physical Fitness

There are full gyms at our residences for physical fitness training. Our competent, empathetic trainers work with you twice a week, guiding you through a range of exercises targeted to your personal needs and fitness level, to safely and effectively instill the skills necessary for optimum physical health.

Drumming Group

You will be invited to participate in our drumming group at your own pace, allowing you the space to explore your sonic meditative process in a supportive environment. Drumming offers a non-verbal language for self-expression that allows you to feel understood and validated without having to verbally disclose the details of your emotional experience.
