“For the first time in as long as I can remember, I’m excited for my future.”
Interaction with other people is vital to the human experience. Social bonding offers you opportunities to share your joys, process your sorrows, and feel a sense of belonging that soothes and fortifies you. However, mental health disorders can deeply damage your social ties and threaten your ability to form and maintain meaningful social connections. The effects of psychological illness can strain and fracture interpersonal relationships, increasing social withdrawal and isolation, and leaving you without the vital supports you need. At Bridges to Recovery, we help you understand your role as a social being, explore your relationship patterns, and work to establish the skills you need to engage positively with others.
Our Relationship Dynamics Group is designed to help you realistically perceive, navigate, and improve your social interactions. Social support and a sense of belonging are two of the primary predictors of positive mental health outcomes, and we believe that developing the skills to create healthy interpersonal relationships is crucial to our clients’ success. Through thoughtful examination of your relationship history and patterns, you will become aware of your own role in creating successful social connections. By learning how to engage with the world around you, you are able to experience a sense of community that can buoy you in times of distress, draw you out of isolation, and help you experience joyful, stable living. Benefits of our Relationship Dynamics Group include:
