Treating post traumatic stress disorders, anxiety disorders, panic disorders, depression and phobias using dialectical behavioral therapy

Bridges to Recovery is a facility designed for people seeking psychotherapeutic help for a variety of psychological, social, and emotional problems. We specialize in treating mood disorders, depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety and panic disorders, adjustment disorders, social phobias, trauma, post traumatic stress disorder, problems centered on self esteem, unresolved grief and relationships, and problems related to sexual, physical, and/or emotional abuse. For people who have suffered from addiction problems, Bridges to Recovery also supports and encourages participation in 12-step programs that are community based.

Hospitalization is often required to manage a crisis but true recovery requires a broader and more significant treatment program. We believe that individuals heal when their treatment is customized to their particular needs and they progress at their own pace. Our groups include Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), process groups, solutions and community groups, and psycho educational lectures and films.

At Bridges to Recovery, we facilitate healing by providing each person with a treatment plan that meets his/her specific needs and that diligently investigates their resources for continued, competent, and appropriate clinical care after the individual leaves Bridges.

Patients at Bridges to Recovery will participate in daily scheduled activities designed to enhance their individual therapeutic progress. Frequent and intensive individual psychotherapy with their primary therapist is foundational to the Bridges treatment. The individual psychotherapy is combined with a variety of group and adjunct therapies, as well as psychiatric consultation and monitoring. Our adjunct therapies and groups provide a well-rounded and stimulating balance to the individual psychotherapy and EMDR. In keeping with our philosophy, our adjunct programs and groups compliment whole-person healing. These therapies include art therapy, music therapy, nutritional counseling, equine assisted therapy, supervised aerobic and weight training, yoga, meditation, acupuncture and massage.
