Bridges to Recovery is licensed by the Department of Social Services and offers psychiatric care as an Adult Residential Treatment Facility or Social Rehabilitation Facility. In addition, our Programs are certified by the Department of Mental Health.
At Bridges to Recovery, our Clinical Team has developed a program that ensures the highest level of care, following established regulations by the Department of Social Services and the Department of Mental Health. The Department of Social Services, Community Care Division, enforces the rules and regulations of Title 22 Div 6 on facilities such as Bridges to Recovery to ensure the highest level of care and protection for our clients. The Department of Mental Health certifies our program and enforces the rules and regulations relevant to Social Rehabilitation programs.
It’s important to educate yourself on finding a licensed facility for you or your loved one’s treatment.
Key distinctions of a licensed facility:
As a licensed facility, the Department of Social Services oversees and regulates all vital aspects of our program at Bridges to Recovery, such as:
- Our treatment program and daily activities
- Personnel
- Intake procedures
- Handle medication
- Training our staff
- Handling complaints
Most importantly, the Department of Social Services is available to investigate any complaints from clients who feel they have been mistreated or received insufficient care. While we would never anticipate this, it provides peace of mind knowing you or your loved one is receiving the best possible care.
The Department of Social Services is authorized to impose severe civil penalties and suspend the license of a licensed facility if it does not comply with regulations.
The Department of Social Services only regulates facilities that have applied for a license. You should, therefore, always ensure the facility you admit to is a licensed facility. Ask for the facility’s license number before you admit. Be aware that other facilities may present themselves as licensed because their clinicians are licensed therapists or psychiatrists, however this does not qualify the facility as following the Department of Social Services regulations.
Only licensed facilities should assist you with your medication on site as we do at Bridges to Recovery. Bridges to Recovery is not only a licensed facility, but all of our clinicians are licensed to ensure the highest level of care.
At Bridges to Recovery, our number-one priority is to provide the highest level of care to each client. We would therefore urge you not to compare licensed facilities with non-licensed facilities. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions.
We want what’s best for you. If Bridges to Recovery is not the right place for you, we will help you find a place more suitable to your needs.
